Ridgewood Man Accused of Setting Fire to His own Home
The Record
Authorities arrested a Ridgewood man who is accused of setting fire to his own home. HTe 49 year old Kenneth J. Novey, was charged with aggravated arson and failure to report an emergenc. He was being kept in the Begen County Sheriff's office on $300,000 bail. Officers in Ridgewood responded to a fire at Novey's Garfield Place home around 4 p. On Saturday three officers went into Novey's home and found him unconscious inside a first floor bedroom. They pulled him out to safety.

Magazine Launch for Gay Military Members Announced

Today, an advocacy group announced that a magazine designed for and by gay military members may soon be displayed at military installations worldwide. An active-duty officer, who goes by the pseudonym JD Smith said that the most important goal of the magazine was to let homosexuals currently serving know that they are not alone. Currently, the magazine can be downloaded from the internet.

Highly Radioactive water found in tunnel outside nuclear plant

It was reported today that in Tokoyo, Japan, water that was found in a tunnel at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant has alarmingly high radiations reading. Officials stated that they were not sure how or why the tainted water got out of the building. The water at the plant is emitting over 1.000 millisieverts per hour of radioactivity. The plant's owner said this is more than 100,000 times the normal levels for coolants inside a nuclear reactor.
