Two-car accident on Midland Avenue and Walnut Street
On friday, there was a two-car accident at the busy corner of Midland Avenue and Walnut Street in Monclair at 2:45 pm. A Vernon woman who was driving an Acura on west Walnut collided with a 2009 Hundai Sonata that was going south on Midland. The Vernon woman said she could not stop fast enough in time.

Palin visits Israel as she mulls presidential run
On friday, Sarah Palin was in Jerusalem to meet with Israeli leaders. Much of her two- day itinerary is filled with sightseeing. However, she was scheduled for a monday night dinenr wiht Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. On Saturday, Palin delivered the keynote address at the India Today Conclave. The potential presidential candidate discussed the importance of energy and the influence of India's relationship with United States.

Marches continue in Syria after burial of protester, eyewitness say
On monday, hundreds of protesters marched in southern Syrican city of Daraa after they buried the body of a protester who was killed Sunda in clashes between anti-government demonstrators and secuirty forces. During the demonstrations in the city Firday, two peopel were killed. Local tribal leaders say they have rejected a government proposal to bring about calm and have put togheter a list of demnads including asking that hte head of the local police and governor of Daraa be held accountable for hte civilian casualities since friday.
